What To Expect

What do I wear? What do I bring?

For pole classes we suggest wearing short shorts, with a sports bra or crop top. Most of pole requires skin contact, so clothing will not grip efficiently. For specialty classes, refer to class descriptions on what to wear. We suggest bringing water and kneepads for most classes. Optional but recommended purchases include heels for aesthetic purposes, and pole grip for a more pleasant experience. Refrain from wearing lotions the day of class and any loose jewelry.

Will I be sharing a pole?

If the class is at full capacity (10 students), you will be sharing a pole. Two students per a pole will create more experience for a wider range of students, and good break times in between spins & tricks.

What's the difference between Spin Pole & Static Pole?

Static pole is where the pole remains constantly still. Spins require more momentum to move around the pole. Spin pole is where the pole spins with a very small amount of momentum. Spin pole is designed more for holding poses on the pole.

What are good ways to care for my body post-class?

Pole fitness is hard on the body. It builds a lot of upper body strength & flexibility. When first starting your pole journey, it is likely you will find bruises from the contact points from the pole. We suggest taking warm Epsom salt baths for bruises and aches & pains. There is arnica topical gel and oral tablets available in stores for swelling and bruising. Anti-inflammatories such as "Turmeric chews" or "Turmeric Capsules" are also common supplements among the pole community. We recommend talking to your doctor to determine if these are safe to use with any current medications or past illnesses or contradictions you may have before using them.
